Charlie - Bearhawk Five

A Customer Build. Professional Standards. Built Right.

The Bearhawk Five

The Bearhawk Five is one of the most capable backcountry and utility kit aircraft available today. Where most kit aircraft ask you to choose between useful load, cabin space, and off-airport performance, the Five refuses to compromise — it was designed to do all of it at once.

The Five is Bearhawk's fifth and newest model, and it has already become the most popular aircraft in their lineup. It's a genuine heavy hauler built for real work: a properly equipped Five can depart an airport, IFR cruise across the country, and land on a 500-foot gravel bar while carrying everything needed for the weekend. The fuselage is constructed of welded 4130 steel tubing with a lower part count and weight. Like the rest of the Bearhawk line, the Five is fabric covered with aluminum wings and spars. It's not a composite showpiece — it's a working aircraft built to last. AOPA

Why the Five Stands Out

Built for six, loaded for anything.

The Five is the only six-seat aircraft available offering true off-airport performance. Its useful load and wide CG range mean that most likely, if it fits, it ships. This isn't a weight-limited four-seat aircraft marketed as six-place — it's genuinely capable with a full complement of passengers and gear.

This Build, In Progress at GA Aerospace

The Bearhawk Five currently underway at our facility is a customer-commissioned build. It belongs to a client who chose GA Aerospace to assemble their aircraft to the same professional standard we apply to every project.

At GA Aerospace, we bring aerospace manufacturing discipline to every kit we touch. Our team operates under an ISO 9001 & AS9100-Certified Quality Management System — the same standard applied to commercial and defense aerospace production. Every build follows documented processes, structured quality checkpoints, and a build team that takes airworthiness personally. This isn't a weekend build in a hangar. It's a precision-assembled experimental aircraft built in a controlled environment, with the kind of traceability and process rigor that matters when the aircraft eventually carries your family over remote terrain.
